My Crag

My Crag

by Seah Greenhorn
(Poem with copyright)

As ice upon my heated skin
when blazing from fires outward and in,
then floating pass jagged rocky shores
through calming cool rivers
healing my blistered sores,
you bind my wounds by balmy winds
that lift me high
to mellow among dark starry skies
above false evil friends to fly;
you value me

this I know,

even when my words gone blind
do not show how wonderful
sublime
your comfort
treasured as air
as I surface
life's drowning torrents.

You are the Crag
that Proves To Be

my solid ledge
above all my stormy seas
of humanity's adversities.

Personify Nature- or literally describe a person's nature

Just got over a slump in writing, so I felt like celebrating with a contest.

Two types of poems are allowed:

Poems that give nature human qualities, or poems that tell me about a particular person.

It's a vague prompt so don't feel trapped by the guidelines.

I'm fond of short freeform, but quality rhyming is also acceptable.

Thank you! Psalm 18:2: "Jehovah is my crag and my stronghold and the One who rescues me. My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, My shield and my horn of salvation, my secure refuge."© 4 hours ago, Lucretia Mccloud    spiritual
